Leather Trousers, Shoes and Blazer H&M | sunglasses TOM FORD

If you watch my stories on my Instagram, you have probably noticed  (or maybe not, but you will now) that anytime I go to an event, I am always wearing blazers. On a rare occasion I will opt for a dress, probably if it's an evening event but 90% of the time a blazer is what I choose to wear. I am not running out of ideas, but I like to play the safe card. Firstly, I am always cold. So wearing a blazer is great, because you look smart and you are also keeping yourself warm. No need to wear knitwear and no need to keep your jacket on inside. Secondly, you can never go wrong with a blazer. It never looks "too much" but you also never look underdressed. Of course you can dress it up or down with shoes and the bottom part of your outfit but trust me, if you don't have a blazer in your wardrobe, that should be the next thing on your wish list. I probably have five or six different coloured blazers in my wardrobe right now and for someone like me it's great. I actually have an event in Vilnius tomorrow so I am pretty sure you will see me in a blazer lol.

I have spoken about my avocado toast a million times but only because I know it's good and honestly, it took close to 1 year to get it perfect. I tried different breads, different butters and so many different spices to get it right and I did in the end. Well at least that's what I think. Eating Avo Toast somewhere else is a waste of money now because they are never good enough haha. It's time to share the recipe with you. I cannot cook but I can make the best avocado toast!
For two pieces of avocado toast you'll need:
  • 1 Ripe Avocado
  • Sourdough Bread
  • Garlic Butter (I use Lurpak)
  • Chilli Flakes
  • Feta Cheese (don't have to use this)
  • 1/4 lime.
  • Salt
  • Sesame or Sunflower Seeds

Making it is very easy. Take a cutting board and using a fork smash the avocado. Add salt and lime. Don't be scared to use more, it tastes better. Especially with more lime. Toast the bread, spread the butter. Put the avocado on top once the butter has melted, add chilli flakes, seeds and feta. So simple, right? This has been my favourite breakfast and I could eat it every day, 3 times a day. But obviously that's a little bit extreme so I have this once or twice a week. Also because I don't want to get bored of my favourite food. I know it's pretty simple but I think the 3 strong ingredients that make it delicious are: the sourdough bread (it just doesn't taste the same with others). Garlic Butter, well that speaks for itself. And lime. A lot of lime.
Let me know on Instagram if you end up making this!

Leather Trousers H&M / Knit ZARA / Bag SAINT LAURENT / Sunglasses FOR ARTS SAKE
We all know by now, when it comes to shoes, I am very weak. I cannot resist when I see a hot pair of shoes, and I see them often. This summer's must have shoe is the strappy sandal. All the designers and high street stores are doing them and I am not complaining, they look great. As always, Zara has some great pieces at really good prices so that's exactly where I got my black pair you see in these photos. The low heel is quite hard to get used to for me as I never really wear low heeled shoes, but look how good they look! I think it's the perfect shoe for those days when you want to look put together but you don't really want to wear a high heel. Of course, I am eyeing up some beautiful strappy high heels already, but in the mean time I am sharing my favourite affordable pairs with you.

Wow, can you believe it? Today marks six months since I had my rhinoplasty surgery. The speed at which time is flying scares me everyday, I have difficulties accepting that it's going by so fast. The slowest month in the past year had to be the month after surgery. Every day seemed to drag on and I would look at my nose 300 times a day, making things up in my head. Like 'oh the shape is not right' and 'omg they forgot to do this and that'.
Then the time picks up and you start to forget about your surgery. I think the biggest change I saw was 3-4months post op. The nose looked less swollen and thats when I was 100% happy.
So if you are going through this, or are planning to, remember that the most difficult part is not the surgery itself but the healing process which actually is 18 months but as I said, 3-4 months is when you'll see the biggest difference. I know my nose will change a bit in the next year too but hoping it will just be a tiny bit because I really like it how it is now. You really have to remember to stay calm and stop overthinking. Trust me on this one.

In terms of updates, the tip of the nose is still hard so blowing my nose is a struggle. Breathing is not 100% back yet, some days I am breathing perfectly and others, I will find myself breathing through my mouth. Am I doing it out of habit? Maybe! But I did notice that my nose reacts to different temperatures as weird as that sounds. If it's really hot my nose can go a bit swollen and if it's cold, it feels much smaller and it feels easier to breathe. I think the next update will have to be 6 months later, when we are at one year post op.

Many people ask me what my close friends and family say about my nose. Did they get used to it? Did I? It's no secret that my face changed a lot after surgery. I think that it's due to the fact that my nose was arched a little instead of keeping it straight like it was. I have already talked about how I felt in the first few months in my Youtube video. But to sum it up, I had a hard time getting used to my 'new face'. I don't know if people around me were just being nice but most of them said I look the same, I look amazing and they always imagined me like this. Well, I'm not complaining!
BUT, I did go to one of my family members birthday parties recently where I got to catch up with a lot of people that I haven't seen since last summer and a few of them told me that my old nose was a part of me, and they don't see me as 'me' anymore. That doesn't bother me though, I am very happy with how I look now. The insecurity that I carried around with me is gone and I can't tell you how great that feels.

6 MONTH RHINOPLASTY UPDATE

Happy New Year everybody! This year my promises to myself are pretty simple. To take care of myself. Sounds pretty easy but could be harder than you think. I decided to start with my skin. I have been looking after my skin pretty well for a good few months now. Bioderma is one of the brands I tried and fell in love with about a year ago. That's about the time when I tried the Sensibio H2O for the fist time ever and it just became my everyday makeup remover. I have re-purchased it so many times, at home and abroad if I would see a good deal. I do love a good deal haha!
So since December was one of those months where I wore makeup pretty much everyday, even if I was at home I thought it's time to share with you my evening routine with Bioderma.

This is something new I got to try. As I said I got really used to using 'the pink bottle' (will be easier this way) I was just not sure if I even need to try this one. But I got told it's perfect for oily skin so I gave it a try and I really really like it. I don't know which one I prefer, they're both amazing, but I do realise that this one probably suits my skin type a little bit more. Formulated from non-irritating and sebo-purifying active ingredients, it sanitises the epidermis just softly and rebalances the sebum excess. My favourite thing about it is that you don't need to rinse after using it. Perfect when you're in a rush, traveling etc.

Ok, I know we are talking about skincare here but this shower gel is amazing. I feel like it would be perfect for pregnant women and children as it doesn't have any scent and it literally feels like a dream on your skin. Also will be giving this to my boyfriend who uses one shower gel for his face and body so now he can use this one and I won't get mad at him as it has no bad ingredients.

This eye contour gel offers daily, protective, decongesting, soothing and hydrating care for the eye contour area. It has been great for reducing puffiness and tired eyes. I don't know if it's just me but sometimes if I feel tired or sleepy I can put an eye gel on and it makes my eye area feel so refreshed. This can also be used as a makeup base but I am yet to try it for that purpose. This is something that will be travelling with me, especially on morning or evening flights when my eyes and skin get so dry from the airplane.

This has also been with me for over a year. I don't use this everyday but more on the days when my skin feels oily. Sometimes if it's already feeling pretty dry (hello winter and central heating!) I opt for other moisturisers but this is great for me in the summer and the warmer months. I do use this as a primer also quite a lot as it keeps my skin fresh and matte and turns shine into radiance. I actually love that Bioderma products don't have over the top packaging and are quite small, perfect for traveling, which is very important to me because I really don't like putting my skincare into travel containers and bottles.

Let me know if you've tried any of these products? Most people I speak to have tried Bioderma before, so would be nice to find out what products you love and if there are any I really need to try.
